Bruno Works LLC (“Bruno Works,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Otter at otterchirp.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Browser Identifier
When you first use the Service, your browser generates a random unique identifier (UUID) using your device’s built-in cryptographic functions. This identifier is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key otter_user_id and is sent with your requests so we can associate your chirps, voiceovers, ratings, and contact profiles across visits.
This identifier is not tied to your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it. It identifies a browser instance, not a person.
Situation Text and Target Name
When you request a chirp or voiceover, we store the situation or scenario you describe (your input text) along with the name of the person you identified as the target. This input is submitted to a third-party AI model to generate the response, and the input–output pair is retained in our database as a quality-improvement asset. The target is a third party who has not interacted with the Service; only a name is stored, not a full profile for that person unless you separately create one.
Generated Content
We store each chirp and voiceover script generated in response to your requests, linked to your browser identifier.
Ratings
We store your thumbs-up and thumbs-down ratings on chirps and voiceovers, linked to your browser identifier and to the specific item rated.
Contact Profiles (Optional)
If you create contact profiles for friends, we store the name and profile text you provide, linked to your browser identifier. Creating profiles is optional.
Video Clips (Transient Only)
If you use the video compose (Fuse) feature, your video file is uploaded directly to temporary cloud storage. It is automatically deleted after processing is complete, regardless of whether the compose succeeds or fails. We do not retain video files.
Phone Numbers (Not Currently Collected)
We do not currently collect phone numbers. If SMS features are added in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before collecting your number.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide the Service — generate chirps and voiceovers in response to your requests
- Associate your ratings, contact profiles, and history with your browser session across visits
- Display the LEGENDS community feed — aggregated ratings determine which content appears; the feed does not display situation text, target names, or any browser identifier
- Improve chirp and voiceover quality — top-rated situation/content pairs may inform future updates to the generation prompts used by the Service
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following providers as necessary to operate the Service. Each provider is bound by their own privacy terms.

4. Data Retention
We retain chirps, voiceover scripts, ratings, and contact profiles for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7 below). Video files are deleted immediately after processing and are never retained.
5. Local Storage and Analytics
We use your browser’s localStorage to persist your browser UUID (otter_user_id) between sessions. We do not use tracking cookies. Clearing your browser’s local storage will remove your UUID from your device; this does not delete previously stored data from our servers, but future activity will be treated as a new user.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, referrers, general geography). Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Visitors from the European Union are excluded from this analytics collection. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Service, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete any associated data.
7. Your Choices and Data Deletion
Because the Service does not use email-based accounts or passwords, there is no account settings page. To request deletion of data associated with your browser:
- Locate your browser UUID. Open your browser’s developer tools, go to Application → Local Storage → otterchirp.com, and find the value stored under the key
otter_user_id. - Email [email protected] with your UUID and a deletion request.
- We will delete your chirps, voiceover scripts, ratings, and contact profiles within 30 days.
You may also clear your browser’s local storage at any time to prevent future activity from being linked to your prior history. This does not delete data already stored on our servers.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including HTTPS for all connections and access-controlled credentials for our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy at otterchirp.com/privacy and update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
